汉语，又称中文、唐话、华语，指整个汉语族或者其语族里的一种语言。汉语族为分析语的一支家族，属汉藏语系。汉语如视为单一语言，为世界使用人数最多的语言，目前世界有五分之一人口做为母语。其有多种分支，当中官话最为流行，其衍生而来的现代标准汉语，为中华人民共和国的普通话、以及中华民国的国语，同时是华人地区的通用语。此外，汉语还是联合国正式语文，并被上海合作组织等国际组织采用为官方语言。汉语在以其做为母语的地方会有不同的通称，例如在台湾、香港及澳门通称为「中文」，在马来西亚及新加坡通称为「华语」等。
